ABOUT US
Children’s Services and Youth Sports (CSYS) is a US-based nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our mission is to help charities focused on children and youth enter workplace giving programs such as the U.S. government’s Combined Federal Campaign and various state employee campaigns. See About Federations for a discussion of their advantages in these campaigns.
CSYS has been launched with the support of several other nonprofit federations that are involved in workplace giving on the local and national/international level. These include:
Aging & Disabilities Charities of America
Arts Federation
Human & Civil Rights Organizations of America
Israel Fund
Latin America Fund
Mental Health, Addiction and Retardation Charities of America
Peace and Reconciliation Charities of America

ABOUT FEDERATIONS
The Combined Federal Campaign and numerous other workplace campaigns authorize organizations like ours – federations – to assist in administration. Each federation is itself 501(c)(3) tax exempt and governed by a volunteer board of directors.
While charities are free to apply directly to many of these campaigns, most elect to apply through a federation for two key reasons: increased visibility and admissions support.
Increased visibility
Federations and their members are assigned specific sections in campaign directories. Federations with thematic names attract donors who browse the hundred-or-so directory pages, which list thousands of eligible groups.
Federations also are customarily listed at the front of these directories in a table of contents, so donors wishing to support a particular kind of work can quickly find a focused list of relevant organizations.
Admissions support
Federations assist groups in preparing their applications. The requirements for participation in workplace campaigns often seem complicated. Federations can help applicants understand what is required and advise early in the process if corrections to the application are needed. If a group does not qualify initially for a campaign, federations can suggest changes that may result in admission in later years.
